Wrote iPhone virus, was employed

"Rickrollet" to work like iPhone developer.

The man who stood behind what should have been the first virus designed for the iPhone has gotten a new job - as a developer in a company that creates iPhone applications.

Ashley Towns established a so-called worm installed a photograph of the 1980 pop star Rick Astley at the screen. A so-called "rick roll" in technical terms.

The relatively harmless program was intended as an eye-opener for iPhone owners, who had opened the phone for unauthorized software, said Towns.

"Fame" ensured that the 21-year-old got a job with the Australian company Mogeneration, who make applications to the iPhone.
