
Google has now released the development tools (SDK) for its new Android 2.0, also known as Eclair.
Thus, we also confirmed what one might expect from the new mobile operating system.
For developers, there are a number of new API functions to play with. First, it opens the way for more use of Bluetooth. Applications can connect to other phones, and exploit the opportunities for communication between the units to what they want.
The framework for the media is also reinforced, and should lead to better utilization of hardware.
Easier communication
From users' perspective, is one of the most exciting news that it will open the "multi-touch". Thus, one can expect a more iPhone-like experience. Moreover, the focus is much on making it easier to communicate, by including the ability to run multiple email accounts into the same inbox. The synchronization will also be better. Besides, a new feature that lets you tap a contact, and get links to all the communication possibilities you have with the contact.
For cameras, it is now support for flash, digital zoom and various effects. The keyboard will also be more precise, and the dictionary will be smarter. The browser gets a new look and support for HTML5.
