Got Spyware via Google ads

People who Google for information may have get unwanted spyware by the advertising on Google

Ads that triggered the security flaw in the Adobe PDF Reader is ravaged on the net recently. To make matters worse, the ads were distributed through reputable online advertising companies like Google and Yahoo.
Some of the sites that showed the ads are popular Horoscope.com and the U.S. news website Drudge Report, writes The Register.

By combining the error in Adobe's programs, a system from Microsoft was also affected by the error, the perpetrators could install spyware on users' computers. Spyware opened a hole into the computer's security walls and made it possible to take over the machine.

To install the spyware it was not required any action from users than to open a PDF file as the ad pointed to. Thus the security hole exploited and your computer was unsafe.

Google points out that there are providers of the ads that are responsible for their contents. There is a security system in Google's advertising services that will capture these misleading ads, but it has not picked up the malicious link this time.
