In the taskbar in Windows 7 We have the preview of the programs running. In this guide, I are increasing the speed at which the preview appears.
The default setting in Windows 7 is 400ms delay from moving the mouse pointer over an open program, a preview of the active window will appear. In this guide we will increase the speed on this, so that the preview shows up much faster.
Important: This guide is based on a change in the Windows registry. If you are unsure about this, you should not perform procedures, or get someone else to help you. You may want to backup the registry before you proceed.
How-to
1. Start the Registry Editor by typing regedit in the Start menu or by clicking the Windows key + R.
2. Locate HKEY_CURRENT_USER-Control Panel-Mouse. Then double click on Mouse Hover Time.
3. Here you'll see a box with the current value, which is at 400ms. Enter a value you want, I have set to 100ms. Click OK and quit Registry Editor.
4. You must now restart your system before the change takes effect.
If you want to speed return to the default, use the same procedure as above, but enter 400
