Updates that rolled out a routine second Tuesday of each month, this time in all the patch 34 vulnerabilities in Windows and various other products.

October-release consists of a total of 13 security bulletins, eight of which are marked as critical. This is the highest classification of severity, that is where the devastating effect that a possible exploitation of the vulnerabilities could result.

Such a hole allows for remote execution of arbitrary code, which may allow attackers to secure full access to vulnerable systems.

Vulnerabilities that now take away affects Windows, Internet Explorer, Office, Silverlight, Forefront, development tools and SQL Server, according to a blog post from the company.

Microsoft does not tend to come with a detailed description of the vulnerabilities before the updates.

This time, they emphasize, however, these package fixes two vulnerabilities that can be exploited in so-called zero day attacks.

These are well-known hole in Microsoft's Server Message Block Protocol v2 (SMB), and FTP service associated with Internet Information Server (IIS).

All versions of Windows are affected by the package, and for the first time is also Windows 7 with one of the products who should be addressed.

Most of Bug fixes will require that the computer is restarted.
