Millions line up to get the Google Wave access

Up to several months of waiting for the laggards.

Google is well underway with the limited testing of the company's Wave service. Google has great expectations for service, but expected is not likely that so many people would request access already. Google Wave
In an interview with Techradar.com "said Lars Rasmussen, one of the two Google employees brothers behind the Wave, that hundreds of thousands now have access, but that the number of requests is more than two million.

- If you are at the bottom of the list, it will take several months, "said Rasmussen. Google should have restricted the existing users' ability to invite new users.
The reason that not all get immediate access, is that the system currently does not scale well enough. This is something Google is working on.

In addition to being a communication platform, Google Wave also is a platform for the development of extensions in the form of gadgets.
Rasmussen said that there probably will be a market for this, so that developers can charge for Gadgets they make.
- We have not settled this 100 percent, but all developers ask for paid applications, "said Rasmussen. This will also give Google revenues, enabling the company requires a percentage of sales.
