Intel came this week with a firmware update to some of the company's latest flash memory-based storage devices, the second generation of solid-one X25-M.
Now, the company pulled the update back, after an unknown number of users have experienced that the SSD-one stops working after the update has been installed.

In a feedback on the download page type Intel that the company is now investigating what might be wrong with the update, called O2HA.
Users who have experienced errors, speculate about the issues depend on the motherboard that's in the computer patch was installed. But attempts to reinstall the update from another computer does not seem to have brought forward, then one can only get a message that this version of firmware is already installed.
The above patch should be able to provide solid-state one, an increase in the sequential write speed of up to 40 percent.
