Youtube increases to 15 minutes

It is no longer as concerned about illegally upload.

If we go back to the beginning in 2005, it was actually possible to upload the whole TV series and long movie clips on the video service YouTube.

Later the company introduced a maximum limit. In recent years, there has not been possible to put video clips longer than 10 min, except for certain affiliates.
This week raised the limit to a quarter. It is therefore possible to print up to 50 percent more per clip.

The reason why they introduced this limit, and why YouTube now can increase the limit appears in a blog post from the company.

- Upload for non-partners has been limited to 10 minutes for years. We have spent considerable resources in creating and improving our system for content management and many other powerful tools opphavsretthavere, printer product manager Joshua Siegel.

The improvements in this area that make it possible for them to jack up the threshold for how long movie clips users can post, according to Siegel.

In practice this means that YouTube is no longer as concerned about the uploading of material that violates copyrights as earlier.

15 minutes of fame
In connection with the amendment introduces a Youtube ever so little competition in which they encourage users to make a video about their lives.

You participate by selecting the clip with the tag "yt15minutes" and upload the contents of Wednesday next week.
