Facebook incredible milestone

Number of users of Facebook has now passed 500 million. The distribution means that each Fourteenth person on the planet is a registered user.

If Facebook were a country, it would have been the world's third largest, according to variables such as China and India.

The six-year-old social web service, which was started in a student room at Harvard University to celebrate Wednesday night.

Founder Mark Zuckerberg announced the news in a blog post Wednesday evening. At the same time he launched a campaign where users can share experiences about how this has changed their lives.
