Microsoft is one of the most successful companies regardless of industry. Those who believe Apple has become a more profitable business, you must think again.
Software giant turnover makes namely a sudden jump, with a particular economy lubricated by good sales of the product Windows 7 and Office 2010.
In the last three months, Microsoft has revenues of 16.04 billion U.S. dollars, up 22 percent from the same period last year.
It shows the company's deviant fourth quarter statement, which ended on 30 June and presented yesterday.
Microsoft has so far sold 175 million licenses of Windows 7, according to the company.
50 percent growth
Compared with the same quarter last year, Microsoft increased operating income by 49 percent to 5.93 billion dollars. Net profit after tax was 4.52 billion dollars, an increase of 48 percent. This represents a profit per share of $ 0.51.
Apple revenue in comparison to 15.7 billion U.S. dollars, and was left with a profit of 3.25 billion dollars. Microsoft's profit for the period is 1.27 billion dollars higher.
Record-year
Microsoft has never before sold for over one year. The accounting year 2010 provides a record revenue of 62.48 billion U.S. dollars, up 7 percent from the year before. Operating profit and net income were respectively 24.1 billion U.S. dollars and 18.76 billion dollars.
Analyst Brendan Barnicle of Pacific Crest Securities said to the Wall Street Journal that he can be impressed by Microsoft's performance.

Yet he notes that many are investing now are impatient for our company's recent initiatives. Analysts said they now wonder what is the next step. The same question has been asked about Microsoft over the past decade.
Most of Microsoft's revenue comes from the three largest departments, respectively centered around Windows servers in development, as well as Office. These are all large surplus.
Web services remains a big money spinner, however. Microsoft's revenues stand here still, and ended at 565 million U.S. dollars in the last three months, only crumbs of the company's total turnover. The operating deficit for the online division was on its 696 million U.S. dollars last quarter.
In one year, Microsoft lost 2.35 billion dollars on its online efforts.
