- ITunes and the App Store attacked

Scammers tapped Apple accounts for hundreds of dollars.

App Store and an unknown number of Apple users were hit Sunday of organized fraud.
Having secured control of your iTunes accounts, the criminals have abused the supply and drained the accounts for money. The money was used to shopping at the Apple store for mobile software.

It said a number of American blogs and media, including Engadget and Cnet.
In the midst of the celebration of U.S. Independence Day Engadget reported suspicious behavior in the category for the most popular books' App Store.
At one point consisted chart of the 50 best-selling books' of 42 releases of manga books (Japanese comics, journ.merk). All were in Vietnamese and published by a single developer, Thuat Nguyen and the company "mycompany".

- A number of persons report that hundreds of dollars are deducted from your iTunes their accounts to buy these books, writes Engadget.
All releases from "mycompany" was later removed from the App Store, Apple's bokkategori appears to be normal at the moment.

It is unclear how many people are affected by fraud, and what really happened. One possible explanation is that the victims have been fooled by so-called phishing attacks, ie false e-mails asking them to provide the username and password.
Apple has not even responded to inquiries from the press about what happened, but the iPhone developer Alex Brie said in a blog post that Philip Schiller, global marketing manager at Apple, said the company was investigating the episode.
