
Microsoft will this coming Tuesday with eleven security bulletins and associated security. These will remove a total of 25 vulnerabilities in Microsoft software.
Microsoft provides that five of the security updates are critical. All affects Windows products, but it's only Windows 2000 is affected by all five.
Typically, these patches eliminate vulnerabilities that allow remote execution of arbitrary code, but Microsoft has not disclosed details of individual vulnerabilities.
Five other security updates are considered by Microsoft as important. Four of these affect various versions of Windows, two affect Office XP and later, while one affects Exchange Server 2003.
The eleventh update is considered to be moderately important and affects Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows Server 2003 and 2008.
There is probably none of the vulnerabilities this time affecting Internet Explorer, because Microsoft came up with an extraordinary security to the browser on the 30th March. This update removed a total of ten vulnerabilities from your browser.
