Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor is a program that simply checks if your computer is compatible with Windows7. In addition to controlling the hardware, the program also checks all the accessories and software you have installed.
The program determines whether Windows 7 has drivers for accessories, and whether there are any known issues with the applications you have installed.
Microsoft has also launched a new online service called Windows 7 Compatibility Center. The service consists of a searchable database where you can manually search for the various programs and hardware accessories to see if they are compatible.
If the service has a compatibility problem the computer suggests how to resolve the issue. It also checks for updated drivers for a particular accessory. Users can participate and propose solutions to various problems.
