Microsoft has found up to eleven percent of the search market. But there is still a long way to Google.
NOT ON TOP YET:
Bing grows fastest, but still both Google and Yahoo is ahead. August was a good month for Microsoft's search engine Bing.
The company climbed further in the search engine world, writes Computer World's international news service. The engine was launched in May, and meets tough competition from main rival Google.
In August, Bing grew 22.1 percent - from nine percent to 10.7. and is the fastest growing engine of the top10, according to a measurement company.
But still it's a long way to go. Google has a total of 64.6 percent of the market, and raise by 2.6 percent last month. Yahoo has 16 percent, 4.2 percent less than in July. Microsoft has remained in activity to pimp up Bing to challenge Google. Earlier this week, they released a beta of Visual Search tool, to help Bing users search through the photo galleries instead of plain text. Microsoft's deal with Yahoo is another grip taken in
connection with Bing. Bing will be the engine to Yahoo, and Yahoo will sell premium ads for both sides.
