Drops the hardware requirements for "XP Mode"

The new addition to Windows 7 could thus be used on older computers.
Windows XP Mode is in effect a virtual Windows XP computer that can be installed and run on PCs with Windows 7 Professional or Ultimate, without having to deploy a separate Windows XP license. XP Mode is especially useful for users who use software that works in Windows XP, but not in Windows 7 Internet Explorer 6 is an example of this.

But the solution has received some criticism because it now has provided computer-one that can run on, has hardware support for virtualization.
Although Intel VT (Intel Virtualization Technology) or AMD-V is pretty standard today's PCs, there are still models without such support.
Yesterday announced Microsoft's Brandon LeBlanc in this blog post that such support is no longer a prerequisite for being able to use Windows XP mode, although this is still supported by the software.
The new version is available for download on this page. The same is also an update for those already using Windows XP mode, but it does not appear that this includes other improvements than the one mentioned above.
