Use MozBackup
I show you how you can easily backup all the settings in Firefox and Thunderbird.
Do you have timely and untimely been exposed to that Firefox or Thunderbird has been rolled back, or you've had to reinstall your PC? Or worse, stolen, then all e-mails and bookmarks disappeared along with your preferences.
This is something that everyone will come over sometime. So why is it a good idea to have a "precautionary" principle in mind. Remember, your backup is a good cause. Have therefore always backup at least at 2 locations, or even 3. But it might not be so easily and take backup of all settings and favorites, or all settings and e-mails in your e-mail program? Therefore, you can use MozBackup which takes full backup of everything on either Firefox or Thunderbird whit a single press.
Backup
1.Download and install MozBackup.
2.Start the program and select "Backup a profile". Then select either Firefox or Thunderbird. What you choose you can take backup of there and then. You can run the program again to make backups of Firefox, if you first took Thunderbird.
3.Then you select your profile. As a rule, it is the "default" unless you have done something about it. Also remember to choose the storage space. It is wise to choose an easy location so you can easily find the file when you move it down to an external hard drive or other form of backup.
4.Now you get your choice if you want to password protect the backup account. It is optional.
5.On the next screen they gives you options on what to backup. And then it's a good idea and leave it as it is, for then everything will be backed up.
6.Backup will now be carried out, and it may take some time.
